Sunday Dinners: Three Bean Salad

Last week I mentioned that Sunday posts would be dedicated to recipes. This is one of my favorite summer salads. I always have these ingredients on hand, it's the perfect accompaniment to a backyard barbecue, and it's delicious. What more could you ask for?

Brooke's Three Bean Salad


1 (15 ounce) can green beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 red onion, chopped
3/4 cup white sugar
2/3 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon celery seed

1.Mix together green beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, red onion, sugar, vinegar, vegetable oil, salt, pepper, and celery seed. Let set in refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
