$7 Haunted House Tour of Washington DC from Washington Walks

Plum District is running a fun family deal today. The Haunted House Tour of Washington DC from Washington Walks is only $7 instead of $15! If my kids were older I would definitely be purchasing this deal. I love taking ghost walks in towns that I visit and live. It's a fun way to learn the local lore.

Remember, that if you sign up for Plum District and purchase a deal within 7 days you get $5 credit off your first Plum purchase! How sweet is that.
Don't live in the D.C. area? No problem. Plum District currently offers deals in the following cities: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York: Brooklyn, New York: Downtown, New York: Uptown, Orange County (CA), Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Raleigh-Durham, San Diego, San Francisco, San Francisco: East Bay, San Francisco: Marin, San Francisco: Peninsula, San Jose & South Bay, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and an Everywhere deal of the day

About the Deal

Why wait until October 31st to get into the Halloween spirit?

Give your kids a peek at D.C’s haunted history with a tour of the city’s most infamous houses and landmarks by Washington Walks. They’ve been guiding locals and visitors alike through the tangled narrative of this great city for over ten years. Their Most Haunted Houses tour is the perfect opportunity to show your entire family a different side of the city—and of their favorite holiday usually just associated with candy, costumes and…well, really just candy.

The group meets outside of the Farragut West Metrorail station before being lead through Lafayette Park. This typically bustling neighborhood happens to be the home to many a tumultuous event in D.C. history. You’ll hear the tragic tale of Henry Adams and his troubled wife Clover, visit the eerie home of Stephen Decatur and explore the notion of the White House as the root of a presidential curse before ending the tour at the Octagon, the most haunted house in the city.

The Most Haunted Houses tour is begins every night at 7:30pm and runs until Oct. 31st. It’s appropriate for most kids, but does include PG-rated scary stories, so use your discretion for any particularly sensitive little ones!
