Sunday Dinners: Hot Chocolate Bar and $40 to Abe's Market Giveaway

I hosted a baby shower on Friday. In the last year I've hosted a summer salads and breads shower as well as a soups and cornbread shower. So this time I decided upon a chocolate theme. I made O'Henrys and littered the table with numerous types of candy. I also invited guests to bring a decadent chocolate dish to share. To go along with the theme I served a Hot Chocolate Bar. Here are the super easy crock pot hot chocolate recipes that I used:

White Hot Chocolate for a Crowd

Ingredients:
2 cups whipping cream
6 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips

Directions:
Place all ingredients in crock pot. Stir. Cover and cook on low 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted.

Hot Chocolate for a Crowd

Same recipe and directions as above. The only difference is that you substitute the white chocolate chips for milk chocolate chips.

I then set my kitchen island up with the following mix ins and toppings:

• whipped cream
• cinnamon
• cayenne
• caramel sundae syrup
• chocolate sundae syrup
• hazelnut syrup
• vanilla syrup
• caramel syrup
• mini chocolate chips
• mini marshmallows
• rainbow sprinkles

and this masterpiece:

• A 2lb Vanilla Bean Marshmallow from Plush Puffs Gourmet Marshmallows 

It was a wonderful shower to honor a wonderful friend. I'll post the fun games we played tomorrow. Right now . . .
