Confessions of a Couponaholic: It Doesn't Hurt to Ask

So, I'm home from my many errands. It's a hot one out there today. As I was pulling into the party store parking lot with my eager almost 4 year old I suddenly realized that my $5 off any pinata coupon was for Party City NOT Party Co. Duh! Oh well. We still needed a pinata and I was not about to burst my little one's pinata selection dreams. I mean he DID eat all his blueberries this morning just so we could go on this adventure.

Then it came to me, why not just ask if they would accept the coupon? Many stores WILL accept competitor's coupons so why not give it a go? So I asked the gentleman, at the front register, as soon as we walked in. He asked his manager and we left with $5 taken off the price of the red alien pinata (original price $12.99) that my 3 year old fell in love with. Thank you, Party Co.!
