I recently used two of my Restaurant.com gift certificates. It was our first time to eat in either of these restauarnts (that's exactly what Restaurant.com is hoping for) and we took all three kiddos with us. Here's what I thought:

Eggspectation in Gainesville:

We walked in and were seated right away. The kids ordered off the kid menu. We ALWAYS order the kids meals as soon as we sit down. This way they bring us their order as soon as it's ready and the kids can start eating.

C ordered chocolate chip pancakes and T ordered grilled cheese. They were both happy. The pancake portion was HUGE. I wish they would scale back on the pancakes and offer a side, such a fruit. I ordered the French Dip and asked for an extra side of au jus. My two favorite sandwiches are French Dips and Reubens. I was not disappointed and would order the same thing again. Mr. T had the blue cheese burger and was happy, but he's pretty easy to please.

We had worked it out that the bill would be right on the mark--$35. They included the 18% gratuity and we left paying less than we would have for our family at Chick-fil-A. Would we go back? Yes, with a restaurant.com certificate--otherwise it's pretty pricey.

WOW Wingery and Cafe in Bristow:

We love chicken wings and were not disappointed. The kids loved this place! I think having a TV at our table had something to do with it. They watched Diego and Dora as they chowed down on cheese quesadillas and chicken fingers. The kids menu was a great value--$3.99 including a drink.

Mr. T and I ordered 20 wings and the mini burgers appetizer. Once again we were trying to stay at $35. We had a few problems with our waitress, but other than that, we'd return (with more restaurant.com certificates) and order the exact same thing. The wings were extra meaty. I don't know if we just got lucky or if their wings are always that meaty. They truly were the best wings we've had in the area (Foster's, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Glory Days). The Blue Cheese dressing left A LOT to be desired. I could have sworn it was watered down ranch dressing, but the wings were so tasty that I didn't want to dip them in anything!

We fed our family of five for less than $20 at each restaurant. I'm going to Shop at Home right now so that I can purchase these restaurant.com certificates again.
