One of the things that I love about this time of year is that you can score some really great deals on gift card purchases. Last year I think I bought over $100 in Chick-fil-A gift cards (for myself!) just to get the FREE calendar with all those awesome Chick-fil-A coupons. It seems like my family eats at Chick-fil-A once a month so I knew that I would use the gift cards. And I ended up getting all of those wonderful coupons that saved me even more money.
If there is a a restaurant or store that you frequent it may be worth your while to stock up on gift cards that promote added bonuses at this time of year. Just don't forget to use them or heaven forbid lose them! I highly recommend noting the gift card number, expiration date, and company phone number down so that if something does happen you can contact the company and ask them to cancel that card and reissue you another one. Do note that where the actual gift card has a longer, if any, expiration date the FREE gift cards usually have a shorter expiration window.
