B's Round 4: Pizza and Doritos a 5-Year-Old's Dream Dinner

My oldest turns 5 today. His birthday dinner request is for cheese pizza, spicy chips (Doritos) and carrots. He knows we have to eat vegetables with our dinner. So I ran to Harris Teeter with a few of the NEW Safeway coupon books and saved a bundle! I spent $5.39 and saved $143.46. I received $6 in Catalinas to use on my next order. So really I received all of the following for free and made 61 cents. SWEET! The items marked with an asterisk are FREE if you use the coupons in the Safeway book.

Here's what I brought home:

1 Freschetta Cheese Pizza

1 bag of Doritos

*6 bottles of pure vanilla extract

*3 boxes of black pepper

*12 boxes of Swiss Miss hot chocolate

*4 cans of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls

*8 cans of Pillsbury biscuits (the Pillsbury items generated the Catalinas)

1 big bag of Ricola cough drops

3 cans of Blue Diamond smokehouse almonds

*16 boxes of Green Giant frozen vegetables

So far, for the month of November, I've spent $34.51 on groceries and have saved $377.31.

Be sure to watch when they scan your coupons, our swiss miss ones from the Safeway book didn't double!

Thanks! It's true. It is so important to always watch as those coupons are ringing through. Swiss Miss and Wesson gave me truoble but Harris Teeter was great at adjusting the price.
